About UCEED

Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) is conducted by IIT Bombay under the guidance of the UCEED-CEED Implementation Committee every year to offer admission to eligible candidates in Bachelor of Design (BDes) programmes offered at colleges accepting UCEED scores.

Important Dates

Application Process

  • The SBI Clerk (Junior Associates) 2020 application process has commenced from 3rd January 2020.
  • Candidates are required to click on the mentioned below link or to visit the official page of SBI to fill in the online application forms as the entire process to apply for SBI Clerk 2020 exam will be online.
  • The application fee for SBI Exam is Rs. 750/- for General category and NIL for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD category.
  • Candidate should note down the registration number and password. They can re-open the saved data using registration number and password and edit the particulars if needed. This facility will be for three times only.
  • Once the application is filled in completely, the candidate should submit the data and proceed for online fee payment.

Selection Process

In order to get selected in State Bank Of India as a Junior Associate, you have to cross two hurdles viz.
1. Preliminary Exam
2. Mains Exam

After crossing both the hurdles, SBI will conduct a small test called Language Proficiency Test (LPT). Once you are through, then SBI will call you for Document Verification.

No of seats/vacancies

For the Recruitment of Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales), there are a lot of job vacancies this year in various branches of the State Bank of India. As per exam notification, 8000 clerk vacancies will be filled this year

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for SBI Clerk 2019 Examination has been clearly specified in the Exam Notification published by State Bank of India recently. Each SBI aspirant must go through all the important details regarding SBI Eligibility Criteria before applying online. SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2019 consists of a set of requirements and clauses in terms of age, educational qualification and nationality.

Age Limit

Not below 20 years and not above 28 years as on 01.04.2019, i.e candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.04.1991 and not later than 01.04.1999 (both days inclusive).

The relaxation in the upper age limit has been applied according to government norms. They are as follows

  • SC/ ST: 5 Years
  • OBC: 3 Years
  • PH: 10 Years
  • PH + OBC: 13 Years
  • PH + SC/ST: 15 Years
  • J&K Domicile: 5 Years
  • Ex-Servicemen: Actual period of service rendered in defence services + 3 Years
  • Widows, Divorced Women Judicially Separated: 9 Years

All SBI Aspirants must fall within the proper age limit. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of SBI Clerk Application Form.

Educational Qualification

The candidates must a Graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized college or university or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

Some highlights of the changes made in the exam pattern are given below:

  • Each section of the Prelims exam will now have a separate time slot (20 Minutes each).
  • Also, there will not be any sectional or overall cut-off.
  • An adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by the Bank (83010 candidates) will be shortlisted for the Mains Exam from the list of all candidates arranged in descending order of aggregate marks scored.

FAQs

UCEED is conducted once a year typically in the month of January by IIT Bombay. UCEED 2021 is scheduled to be conducted on January 17.

Candidates can appear for UCEED for maximum two times and that too in consecutive years. UCEED score for admission is valid for one year only.

UCEED 2021 is conducted as an online and offline exam. Part A of UCEED 2021 will be held in online mode as a computer-based test and Part B of the exam has to be attempted on a sheet provided inside the exam hall.

UCEED is a three-hour duration test in which candidates are evaluated out of 300 marks. The paper usually comprises 68 objective questions that are spread across three sections – Section A (NAT – Numerical Answer Type), Section B (MSQ – Multiple Select Questions), and Section C (MCQ – Multiple Choice Questions). Yes, the UCEED question paper contains one subjective question to test the drawing skills of candidates. Aspirants need to read this paper on their computer screen and attempt it on a sheet provided inside their exam hall.

Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design or UCEED is conducted by IIT Bombay in order to shortlist aspirants for admission in the BDes course offered at Industrial Design Centre (IDC), IIT Guwahati, IIITDM Jabalpur, IIT Hyderabad as well as other colleges that accept UCEED scores for admission.

Candidates will qualify UCEED 2021 exam if they meet the cut-off for BDes admissions. Aspirants need to note that merely clearing the UCEED exam does not guarantee admission. Candidates who make it to the merit list for the design entrance exam then need to take part in UCEED counselling.

Candidates from any stream can apply for the UCEED exam. However, as mentioned in UCEED 2021 eligibility criteria, candidates who are from the Science stream and have studied subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are eligible to apply for admission at IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, and IIITDM Jabalpur. On the other hand, candidates from any other stream (Science without Mathematics or Physics or Chemistry, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) can apply for admission at IIT Bombay, IIT Hyderabad, and IIITDM Jabalpur, only.

UCEED 201 exam is divided into two parts. Part A of the exam consists of Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions, Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) whereas Part B consists of a drawing question.
