About NCHMCT-JEE
National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology Joint Entrance Examination or NCHMCT JEE (also known as NHCM JEE) is a national-level entrance exam conducted to offer admission to aspirants in hospitality and hotel administration programmes. Till 2018, the National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHM & CT), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, conducted the NCHMCT JEE exam. However, from 2019 onwards, National Testing Agency (NTA) took over the charge to conduct NCHM JEE exam.

Application Process
Step 1: Fill Online Registration Form for NCHMCT JEE Exam
In order to apply for the NCHMCT JEE exam, candidates need to first of all register for the exam by providing their details such as – Name, Date of Birth, and other personal details.
Step 2: Fill Details in NCHMCT JEE 2021 Application Form
In the application form for the NCHMCT JEE exam, aspirants need to provide information regarding their test city of choice, name, mother’s name, father’s name, date of birth, gender, category, nationality, address, email ID, and educational qualifications. After filling in all these details aspirants can either reset the form if it has not been filled as per their liking or submit their application form if they are satisfied that all the information provided by them is correct.
Step 3: Upload Photograph & Signature
Next, candidates need to upload scanned copies of their photo and signature with their NCHMCT application form. The photograph should be coloured or black/white (but clear contrast).
Step 4: Pay NCHMCT JEE 2021 Application Fee
Here, candidates need to select the mode of paying the application fee for the NCHMCT JEE exam from Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking/ UPI Payment/ PayTM.
Note: Earlier, the application fee could be paid using e-challan but it has been discontinued due to the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown across the country.
Step 5: Download Confirmation Page
After successful payment, the candidate will be able to print the Confirmation Page. In case the Confirmation Page is not generated after payment of fee then the transaction is cancelled and the amount will be refunded to the candidate’s account. However, the candidate has to make another transaction, in case the Confirmation Page is not generated.
Step 6: Print Application Form for NCHMCT JEE Exam
Once the fee is paid successfully, candidates are allotted an “auto-generated Application Number”. Next, aspirants need to save the print version of the application form. After this, candidates need to take a clear print out of their NCHMCT JEE 2021 application form. Candidates are informed that once they pay the exam fee, they will not be allowed to make any modification to their application form for NCHMCT JEE 2021 exam.

Eligibility Criteria
NCHMCT JEE 2021 eligibility criteria have been defined by NTA (National Testing Agency) for all those applicants who have registered for the examination. The exam date for NCHMCT JEE is out. The exam will be conducted on 12th June 2021. Candidates can start applying now. The registration window for NCHMCT JEE 2021 is open from 3rd February 2021 to 10th May 2021.
According to NCHM JEE 2021 eligibility criteria, candidates must meet the age limit as well as the requisite academic qualification. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria of NCHMCT JEE before applying for the exam. NTA will also mention the criteria for physical fitness that the candidates must meet.
Candidate’s application form will not be accepted if he/she fails to meet the eligibility criteria of NCHMCT JEE 2021. Besides checking the eligibility criteria for NCHMCT JEE exam, candidates must also go through the eligibility norms defined by the NCHMCT JEE participating institutes. National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) used to conduct Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) each year to offer admission to aspirants in hospitality and hotel administration programmes.

NCHM JEE 2021 Age Limit:
The upper age limit for candidates from General and OBC category is 25 years as on July 1, 2021. Candidates born on or after July 1, 1995, are eligible to apply for the examination.
The upper age limit for candidates from SC/ST category is 28 years as on July 1, 2021. Candidates born on or after July 1, 1992, are eligible to apply for the examination.
The upper age limit for Physically Challenged applicants shall be the same as per the category he/she belongs to, i.e., General/SC/ST/OBC
Note: The Date of Birth (DoB) as recorded in the Secondary Education Board/Pre-University Certificate of candidates shall be accepted. This certificate needs to be presented by candidates in original at the time of counselling, failing which the candidate will not be considered for counselling/admission.
Physical Fitness Criteria for NCHM JEE 2021
- Candidates who successfully qualify the entrance exam, they must provide a physical fitness certificate at the time of admission. This particular certificate will have to be provided by a registered medical practitioner.
Academic Qualification required for NCHM JEE 2021
To become eligible to apply for NCHMCT JEE 2021, applicants should have qualified 12th class or equivalent from a recognised board with English as the main subject.
Appearing applicants in 12th standard are also eligible to apply for NCHMCT JEE 2021.
Those appearing in 12th standard or equivalent examination can also appear in NCHMCT JEE 2021 on a provisional basis. However, they must submit their proof of qualifying the 12th class exam along with other eligibility conditions at the time of admission.
Note: If an applicant is found ineligible at a later date even after admission to an Institute, his/her admission will stand cancelled.
Qualifying exams for Indian Students:
Applicants are eligible to apply for the NCHMCT JEE, if they have passed one of the qualifying exams mentioned below, the details are given below:
Applicant should have a plus two level examination in the 10+2 pattern of Senior Secondary education (SSE) of any recognised Central/State Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education and Council for Indian School
Certificate Examination or State Boards of Secondary Education.
High School Certificate Examination of Cambridge University.
Applicant should have Intermediate or two-year PreUniversity Examination organised by a recognised Board/ University.
Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in a foreign country recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 pattern of Senior Secondary education.
General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
H.S.C. Vocational Examination approved by NCVT and SCVT of concerned State.
Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects including English as one of the subjects.
NCHMCT JEE 2021 Reservation Criteria
As per the rules of Government of India, applicants belonging to certain categories are admitted on the basis of the seats reserved for them. The allocation of the seats for qualified and eligible applicants is in accordance with the reservation criteria of NCHMCT JEE 2021. All affiliated institutes of the council follow the reservation criteria.
The NCHMCT JEE 2021 reservation policy states the percentage of seats that will be set aside for candidates belonging to the reserved categories such as OBC, SC, ST, PwD etc. To apply for the reserved category seats in the NCHMCT JEE 2021 participating colleges, the candidates have to mention the category they belong to during the NCHMCT JEE 2021 application process.

Non Creamy Layer (OBC–NCL) category are as per the Central list of Other Backward Classes available on National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC), Government of India. Thus, the candidates falling in this list may mention OBC in the Category Column. State list OBC Candidates who are not in OBC-NCL (Central List) must choose General.
For any category of disability ( locomotors, visual, dyslexia, speech, and /or hearing) benefit would be given to those who have at least 40% physical impairment.

NCHMCT JEE 2021 Exam Pattern
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued the detailed NCHMCT JEE 2021 exam pattern to let candidates know about the marking scheme, marks distribution, syllabus and section weightage. Since the NCHMCT JEE 2021 will be conducted on June 12, 2021, candidates are advised to check the NCHMCT JEE 2021 exam pattern to get a fair idea about the overall format of the exam structure and as well as NCHMCT JEE 2021 Syllabus.
NCHMCT JEE 2021 question paper consists of the objective type of questions. The question paper is divided into 5 parts namely Numerical Ability and Analytical Aptitude, Reasoning, and Logical Deduction, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, English Language and Aptitude for Service Sector. The total number of questions is 200. The test paper is bilingual, that is, all questions are available in both English and Hindi language, the only exception being the English Language section. The total duration of the exam is of 3 hours. It is advised that the aspirants must reach the exam centre half an hour before the examination starts.
